Ownership of Site; Agreement to Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms of Use”) apply to the 4S Corporation’s web site located at 4s-corp.com, and all associated sites and webpages linked to 4s-corp.com by 4S Corporation and its successor corporations (collectively, the “Site”).

The Site is the property of 4S Corporation and its licensors and authorized members who run 4S and the Site (“4S”). BY USING THIS SITE, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE; IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

4S reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms of Use, at any time. It is your responsibility to check these Terms of Use periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes. As long as you comply with these Terms of Use, 4S grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited privilege to enter and use the Site.

Content

All text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, photographs, videos, trademarks, sounds, music, artwork and computer code (collectively, “Content”), including but not limited to the design, structure, selection, coordination, expression, “look and feel” and arrangement of such Content, contained on the Site is owned, controlled or licensed by or to 4S, and is protected by trade dress, copyright, patent and trademark laws, and various other intellectual property rights and unfair competition laws.

Except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use, no part of the Site and no Content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted or distributed in any way (including “mirroring”) to any other computer, server, web site or other medium for publication or distribution or for any commercial enterprise, without 4S’ express prior written consent.

You may use information on the Site provided that you use such information only for your personal, non-commercial informational purpose, provided you (1) do not copy or post such information on any networked computer or broadcast it in any media, (2) make no modifications to any such information, and (3) do not make any additional representations or warranties.

The Site is an unofficial, non-affiliated fan web site. The Site, 4S and any Content is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CCP Games, the developer of EVE Online. 4S makes no representations to this effect and any information on the Site in relation to, or in respect of, or connected in any form or manner to CCP Games or EVE Online is not to be construed as or interpreted to be accurate or binding on 4S or CCP Games at any time. Any intellectual property connected to CCP Games remain their property and as such, CCP Games reserves all its rights.

Your Use of the Site

4S is a member corporation of The Initiative, an alliance in EVE Online (“INIT”). This Site uses INIT’s authentication servers and website (collectively, “Alliance Auth”), for the purposes of authentication of members of 4S and account management. When you authenticate via Alliance Auth or the Site, the Site and Alliance Auth collect certain data from your EVE Online account, including but not necessarily limited to, your character name, corporation and alliance membership, skill information, roles and titles, ESI tokens or scopes.

This data is used solely for corporation and alliance purposes, including (a) verifying membership status; (b) granting access to corporation or alliance services (including services such as various Discord channels, forums, communication services such as Mumble, ship replacement program (“SRP”) systems; and (c) ensuring security and compliance with corporation and alliance policies.

By authenticating, you explicitly authorize 4S to:

• access and store your character data from EVE Online;
• share relevant data with INIT and its systems where necessary for operational or security purposes; and
• revoke access if you leave the corporation or violate corporation or INIT policies.

We make reasonable efforts to store your data securely and limit access only to authorized leadership in 4S or INIT administrators, where required and relevant. Your data will not be sold or shared outside of game-related organizational use.

The information collected by the Site is considered personal data under GDPR when linked to you as an individual. We collect and process your data for the purposes outlined above and with your consent (which you provide by authenticating through Alliance Auth) and is for a legitimate purpose (which is to ensure secure and efficient corp / alliance operations).

By logging in and authenticating, you give your explicit consent for us to process your EVE Online related data. Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to access – you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification – you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure – you may request deletion of your data at any time. Note that any requests to do so while you are a member of 4S will result in automatic removal from the corporation.
• Right to data portability – you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to withdraw consent – you can revoke your consent at any time.

The information displayed on this Site may be pulled from third-party services and is provided ‘as is’. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of this information.

You acknowledge that some data may be delayed, outdated or incomplete due to API limitations, token expiration, or other external factors beyond our control.

We are not responsible for any in-game or out-of-game consequences, including access issues, role misassignments, or incorrect permissions resulting from such data inaccuracies.

Changes to these Terms of Use

These Terms of Use may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms of Use.
